This piece is inspired by what is considered a masterpiece among the jeans produced by a certain denim manufacturer, referenced from the personal collection of designer Toru.N.Fujimoto. The pattern is extracted directly from his own vintage pair, XX. While retaining the original silhouette and size specifications, the design is reinterpreted with a curved silhouette that creates modern, effective shadowing. An unconventional fading pattern can be expected over time. This reflects one of Fujimoto’s core design principles—designing aging itself—and in this piece, that philosophy is expressed more strongly than ever. Details are carefully designed while honoring classical vintage specifications. A robust button fly. A back cinch allowing for waist adjustment. Round slit pockets for easy access. Sharp and iconic back pockets. The fabric is 11oz denim, slowly and meticulously woven in Kojima, Okayama Prefecture—widely regarded as the birthplace of Japanese denim.
