Part of the BOOTLEG COLLECTION, a series inspired by designer Toru N.Fujimoto’s personal archive of 1990s vintage T-shirts. At the core of Fujimoto’s creative practice lies punk culture. Among its many values, the DIY ethos remains one of the most important principles behind MINUS. The studded jackets and crust pants he continues to make for himself represent some of the deepest roots of his work. For Fujimoto, design is not simply the act of creating garments, but the act of transforming them through making. As an extension of that philosophy, MINUS has periodically released custom accessories such as BOOTLEG PATCHES, encouraging wearers to participate in the creative process themselves. This release marks the first pin badge produced under the BOOTLEG COLLECTION. Featuring graphics previously developed throughout the collection, each badge is finished with black printing that preserves the raw character of the tin base. Attach it to garments, bags, caps, or anywhere your own interpretation leads. Not a finished product, but a tool for continued customization. A product designed to evolve through the hands of its owner.
