The BOOTLEG COLLECTION takes vintage T-shirts produced between the 1970s and 1990s as its point of reference and is constructed around the personal archive of designer Toru N.Fujimoto. For this piece, a vintage item from an iconic motorcycle manufacturer—closely connected to the theme of PROVOKE #4—has been reinterpreted through the perspective of MINUS. The body is pigment-dyed to reproduce the fading and irregular surface character of a garment worn over many years. Its cropped box silhouette alters the balance between the upper and lower body, allowing for a wide range of styling possibilities. The graphic is printed using a proprietary ink developed specifically for the BOOTLEG COLLECTION. Through repeated wear and washing, both the print and the body gradually fade, recording the passage of time together. Designed to be continually transformed by its wearer, each garment develops its own individual character through use.
