BOOTLEG COLLECTION pays homage to vintage T-shirts from the 1990s, drawn from designer Toru N.Fujimoto’s personal collection. Among them, NINE INCH NAILS was one of the bands that had a profound influence on him during his adolescence. This piece marks the first brooch released under the BOOTLEG COLLECTION. Taking the iconic ANTI GUN CROSS as its motif, the piece has been reconstructed with reference to the pins commonly found among band merchandise of the era. Crafted from solid brass, the material gives the piece an industrial character and substantial weight. The design was conceived with three distinct functions: As a brooch. As a fastener for a scarf. And as a styling piece that can reshape the silhouette of a garment. Rather than defining it solely as decoration, the piece is designed to take on different functions according to the wearer’s own interpretation. Use it as you see fit.
