Among the MINUS core collection, dresswear occupies the most essential and defining position. It represents the origin of designer Toru Fujimoto’s approach to garment making, and interpretations derived from dresswear are deeply embedded in the structural logic of the casual pieces he creates. Since the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, tailor-made dresswear had not appeared in the lineup. After extensive conceptual development and research, it now returns—released with full conviction. This piece is crafted from a classical wool gabardine suitable for three-season wear. The silhouette flows into a wide straight line, naturally responding to a wide range of footwear. A distinctive adjuster detail is placed at the waist, allowing up to 9 cm of adjustment and accommodating changes in waist measurement depending on styling. D-ring hardware is applied to the belt loops. The front closure features a button fly, evoking the character of traditional trousers from an earlier era. Buttons are made from original, sharply shaped genuine buffalo horn.
