This piece reinterprets jeans from the 1870s through a contemporary perspective, translating them into MINUS's signature shoe-cut flare silhouette. Building upon the long-standing Lot.20617, this updated version features a more technical approach to pattern making. Every aspect of the design—from the fabric to the hardware—has been thoroughly reconsidered. The fabric is a 14oz denim slowly woven in Kojima, Okayama, the birthplace of Japanese denim craftsmanship. As the garment ages, it develops a rich and nuanced fade unique to the wearer. A durable button-fly construction. An original ring button, exclusively developed by MINUS, is used for the top closure. A traditional back cinch allows the waist to be adjusted. Rounded slit pockets provide easy access while maintaining a clean silhouette. Sharp, iconic back pockets complete the rear view. Every seam is sewn with 100% cotton thread, allowing the stitching itself to fade naturally over time. Classic vintage denim details are faithfully incorporated, while subtle variations in the stitch work give the garment a distinctly contemporary character.
