The jeans from the 1870s are reinterpreted from a modern perspective and incorporated into the wide straight silhouette, one of MINUS' signature silhouettes. The jeans are produced with the grunge and rustic atmosphere that is typical of MINUS. The design is based on the twisting that occurs in old jeans that have not been shrink-proofed. The wide silhouette creates beautiful curves. Indigo denim from Okayama is used. As the final step of the tailoring process, the jeans are dyed with a process that often appears in our collections. The color tones, which look like they were excavated from a coal mine, strongly express the decadent MINUS concept. Grunge buttonholes. Minimalist darning parts. Back cinch for waist adjustment. Round slit pockets for easy access. Sharp back pockets. Individual differences due to unstable dyeing are also the intention of designer Fujimoto. At the same time, it can be said to be the antithesis of the basic system of prêt-a-porter.
