A piece inspired by the LIGHTNING, the most iconic and widely recognized model from a certain British manufacturer, referenced from the personal collection of designer Toru.N.Fujimoto. For this release, the LIGHTNING is reinterpreted and transformed into an aviator jacket—his most beloved jacket style. Among aviator jackets, early prototypes from prominent American manufacturers are known for their button-front construction, deliberately avoiding the use of zippers altogether. This button-front design allows for a high degree of freedom in how the jacket is worn, while side adjusters enable the wearer to shape the waist to their preference. This design stands as one of the signature leather jacket expressions of MINUS. Classic American riders jackets and classic British riders jackets— both connected by the single keyword of aviation. The fusion of these two traditions represents what Fujimoto considers the ideal form of a riders jacket. Preserving the decadent and rustic atmosphere characteristic of MINUS, raw leather edges are intentionally utilized to create a rugged, unfinished appearance. A ladder stitch runs along the center back. Crafted from original cowhide, hand-dyed thoroughly through to the core. This leather develops an aging character distinct from traditional tea-core leather. Enjoy wearing it in, and letting it evolve over time.
