This piece is part of the Bootleg Series, an homage to the designer Toru Fujimoto’s personal collection of vintage T-shirts from the 1990s. Among them, NINE INCH NAILS stands out as one of the bands that profoundly influenced his adolescence. For this design, he referenced artwork from one of the band’s collaborative tour graphics, recreating it through a combination of print and embroidery techniques. The body features a pigment-dye finish, giving it the distinctive worn and weathered look of a well-loved vintage tee. As the name “DIY” suggests, the embroidery is intentionally crafted to evoke the feeling of hand-stitched, fan-made customization. Both the print method and the texture of the fabric are carefully processed to achieve a naturally faded, timeworn aesthetic. Please note that due to the special dyeing process, color transfer may occur.
