This piece reinterprets a signature work jacket from a renowned workwear brand through the perspective of MINUS. As suggested by the name of the piece, the design process began by exploring the idea of “SKIN.” Beyond the raw texture of the leather itself, the pattern is engineered around ergonomic principles, allowing the garment to follow the movement of the body. The cuffs feature an iconic glove-sleeve construction, one of the defining details of the piece. A double-zip front allows the silhouette and styling to shift depending on how the jacket is worn. The leather used is DESTROY LEATHER, newly introduced for this collection. Based on premium Japanese kip leather, it undergoes a distinctive destruction process developed to create a raw, heavily textured surface. Thicker and more durable than calf leather, yet softer and more supple than steerhide, the material balances strength with flexibility. Its rough, raised surface created through the destruction process gives the leather a distinctly rustic character, reinforcing the decadent atmosphere that runs through MINUS. In contrast to the aggressive texture of the leather, the metal components are finished with a restrained dull finish. Wear it hard and allow the leather to evolve with time.
